Safety

Verified before they can teach a child.

Most tutor directories check nothing. We check, we show it, and we watch the expiry date.

WWC Check enforced

A tutor cannot accept a booking for anyone under 18 until their Victorian Working with Children Check is verified. We monitor the expiry and restrict the profile if it lapses.

ID and university verified

Government ID with a liveness check, plus a verified university email showing institution, degree and year.

Reviews you can trust

Only a completed, paid lesson can be reviewed — scored across eight things, not one star.

We verify and display each tutor's check — we don't claim to have vetted anyone ourselves. You can confirm any check directly with the Victorian register.

Questions

How much does tutoring cost?

Tutors set their own rate. In Melbourne's south-east most sit between $45 and $70 an hour depending on year level and subject. You see the exact price on the profile before you contact anyone.

Are tutors background checked?

Any tutor who teaches someone under 18 must hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check. We verify the number, display it, and monitor the expiry. Tutors teaching adults and university students can start before their check comes through.

Do I have to sign up for a block of lessons?

No. No contracts, no notice periods, no direct debit, no minimum.

What if the tutor isn't a good fit?

Change tutors whenever you like at no cost. Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and you're fully refunded.

I'm a tutor — when do I get paid?

Weekly, straight to your bank account. If a student doesn't show up, you're still paid.
